In addition to my book manuscript, I am working on the following smaller projects:

The Unexplained: Rhetoricity and Resistance in the Last Battle of the Korean War. This essay investigates the controversy over twenty-one American POWs who refused to return to America after the Korean war, and explores how public understanding of the relationship between persuasion and resistance shaped debates about the culpability of the soldiers.

Symmetry.                                                                                                                      This essay employs Bruno Latour’s concept of “scientifiction” to illuminate the concept of grading essays with machines (with James J. Brown, Jr.).

The Golden Voice of Neuroscience: Fact Finding in Popular Buddhist Media.     This essay investigates how the tension between Buddhist and scientific authority is negotiated in popular Buddhist magazines.
